God Gathers Us
Call to Worship - Isaiah 55:3-8
To be read aloud by someone in your home
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.”
Opening Prayer
In this passage, the prophet Isaiah, speaking for God, promises that God will provide abundantly, even lavishly, for His people. All they need to do, is to come to Him, listening to His promises and receiving His free gifts with faith.
Take a few moments to consider the gifts that God freely gives to us in His grace, and especially in and through His Son Jesus.
Now take a moment to pray, thanking God for His goodness and His grace.

Congregational Singing
We encourage you to sing - make a joyful noise! If you play an instrument, play! If you have some favorite hymns or choruses, pick one or two and sing! Or make use of other technology to play some music, and listen and sing along.
Below are some hymns you can make use of if these would be a help to you:
Congregational Prayer
It’s the 4th of July weekend! Happy 4th! At our in-person services this weekend, we spent some time praying for our country, both giving thanks for the many blessings that we have received as a nation, and asking for God’s help and guidance as we face the challenges we are now confronted with. And praying that God would turn our hearts toward Him, and advance His kingdom not only around the world, but also right here in this land we call home.
In your homes this morning, take a few minutes to pray together for our nation similarly - giving thanks, and asking for God’s merciful help.
Close by praying the Lord’s Prayer together:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever, Amen.
