God Gathers Us

Call to Worship - colossians 3:15-17

To be read aloud by someone in your home:

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Opening Prayer

  • This morning’s call to worship charges us directly, as the Church of Jesus Christ, to enter into worship full of gratitude and thanksgiving, and with gusto! With everything we have!

  • What a privilege to be welcomed into the presence of God, and how much we have to give thanks to Him for. Take a moment to count your blessings - those common gifts so easily taken for granted, and the great spiritual blessings we have received in Christ.

  • Then go to God in prayer, giving Him thanks and asking Him by His Spirit to empower our time of worship this weekend, making it joyful and enriching, and most of all, glorifying to Him.

Congregational Singing

  • We encourage you to sing - make a joyful noise! If you play an instrument, play! If you have some favorite hymns or choruses, pick one or two and sing! Or make use of other technology to play some music, and listen and sing along.

  • Below are some hymns you can make use of if these would be a help to you.
