God Gathers Us

Call to Worship - Isaiah 52:7-10

To be read aloud by someone in your home:

How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
    who bring good tidings,
    who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
    “Your God reigns!”
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;
    together they shout for joy.
When the Lord returns to Zion,
they will see it with their own eyes.
Burst into songs of joy together,
    you ruins of Jerusalem,
for the Lord has comforted his people,
    he has redeemed Jerusalem.
The Lord will lay bare his holy arm
in the sight of all the nations,
and all the ends of the earth will see
    the salvation of our God.

Opening Prayer

  • Isaiah announces Good News - Good News of comfort and joy that is found in the LORD Himself, and His salvation. Take a few moments to think of the ways in which God’s character and saving work in Christ is Good News for you. Do you remember specific times in your life when God has carried you through, or you have known Him and His saving work in a profound way?

  • Now take a few minutes to pray, thanking the Lord for who He is, and asking Him to strengthen your faith and joy in Him through this time of worship.

God Saves Us

Congregational Singing

  • We encourage you to sing - make a joyful noise! If you play an instrument, play! If you have some favorite hymns or choruses, pick one or two and sing! Or make use of other technology to play some music, and listen and sing along.

  • Below are some hymns you can make use of if these would be a help to you.

Offering & OFFERTORY

During this time when we can't gather on Sundays, we can still receive your offerings a couple of ways:

  • You can drop your offering in the locked mailbox outside the church office entrance

  • Or, you can mail them to the church at 393 Water Street, Augusta ME 04330.

Thank you for your continued support of Penney and its ministries!
